The story goes a little like this:

A little rat ran under my chair so I was trying to grab it when my pole almost got pulled into the water. I hooked the line and thought it was a small catfish and asked my boss to reel it in while I tried to chase down this mouse. I gave the pole to him and he said, " Dude you don't have a fish, you line is caught up on a rock." about 10 seconds later the fish almost pulled him in the water and he started yelling at me. For the next 20 minutes I fought this man bear pig of a fish. I had to called my finance at 2:30am to bring a camera and she was 20 minutes away. (She wasn't happy at all). We took a couple of pictures and let the fish go on his merry way.

BTW, I didn't have a scale and I have no idea how much it weighed. It was damn heavy tho.

Sean that is a PIG of a fish....Congrats and thanks for the CPR on him.

I dont catch many big fish so not really good at weight on them but if i had to guess looking at the head and girth i would say between 45-55lbs.
    just my guess....

    Congrats again!!

Thank your girl friend for me for getting that camera for your pics! I agree
with Gus, that flat looks around 50lbs. Way bigger than anything I've
managed to bring to hand but I've had a couple roll and snap the line that
looked about that size as they finned off into the depths. Nice Fish!

    Thats a monster. 'grats.

Hillsdale holds some big ol flatties. Friend of mine was running lines in one of the "bowls" in the upper end of the lake, he got down to the last 3 or 4 hooks and the line was moving a lot. They go back and check the first hooks, and they had 35+ and a 25+ lb flatheads already on the line...before they were done baiting it.
