for the bank fishers out there, do yall ever have a fire going while fishing? i always have a small one where allowed.

Yes sir! When my son-in-law's go fishing with me we take turns one guy gathers the wood and gets the fire going why the other two get their rods out and baited up in the water there's so much Driftwood where we fish and I like it better than LED lights but there's a few places where we're not allowed to have campfires

I do if I remember to bring wood. I fish lakes mostly, so there's none laying around and I usually forget to bring some. I refuse to buy the super dry and expensive bundles lol. But I think I'm gonna try more. Helps with bugs and racoons

I try to have one going...the smoke seems to help keep the skeeters to a manageable level 😂

I used to build a fire when I fished but decided that I really don’t want to draw attention to myself or my location. I carry a headlamp but try not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

On the rare occasion I bank fish I do, don't know why as I don't need the light or heat. Same with camping I build a fire just cause I am camping and every camp needs a campfire.
