Finding shad

    Just thought i would throw this out there but if you are looking for shad to catch with castnets follow the birds!I found some the other night when fishing a section of river i havent fished but twice. If you see a crane or herring not sure what there called but thats what they eat so let them do the work for you they do it for a living! There experts so find a crane you will find some bait!!!!!:wink: Suppose differant birds around the country so apply the bir to your area lol.:tounge_out:

    Paying attention to where the birds are feeding is a real good way to find bait.

    those white sea gulls do the trick to they shad catching machines !!!!
