Well, my new boat finally came in a few weeks ago. This is the perfect catfishing boat for me. I have 12 DriftMaster Rod holders mounted on it, 4 on each side and 4 across the back on the bar I put on. A Lowrance 522c with gps (got to keep up with where big sam is), front and back anchor cleats, onboard battery charger, 70#minn kota (again, to keep up with where big sam is). I also installed 10 upright rod tubes, but am sure will carry more than that.
I am still in the Suzuki break in period with the motor, but I don't have too many more hours left before I can let it rip.
The boat is officially broke it too. Me, Big Sam, 777 and Baitboat met at the river and broke it in properly.......to the tune of a boat load and a half of channels.......and a gar we won't mention.

more pics of my cat boat. Big Sam, I need to get me some of that nice 70's shag carpet. Is that how you keep those gar away? Think Regan would have brought the fish grips over for that gar like he did for your snapper?

Nice looking boat. I especially like the Driftmasters. I have the same ones installed on my Grizzley, minus the aft bar of 4.

    regan,
just keep those grippers handy for gar instead of Big Sam's turtles. Atleast gar will just cut you up and not rip your arm off like loggerheads.

believe me, it was slimed up pretty good on its break in trip. Johnny and I put a good coat of cat slime and Secret 7 all over it. At least that gar didn't make it in the boat.

    Regan,
Yeah, I need to fish out of the war wagon one day soon.
You need to name Sam's the SS MoonPie.
Speaking of Sam, I talked to him this morning. He had caught some blues down where we were, and is probably breaking out those pies by now too for lunch.
