Finally capitalize on the flathead catfish

    after the storms passed over saturday we got the urge to head out on the river, came up on one of our favorite holes and the shad were schooling like crazy and finally got my first big flatty out of the pee dee. 36 pounds, thaks for all the advice guys.

    the gizzard shad were schooling so we netted some of them

    no, i would have cpr'd this one but i gut hooked it!, he caught me napping , and didnt live long, but the good news is its a male

    That's a nice fish there bigcatwannabe. You can now change your screen name from wannabe to full fledged trophy hunter!! Too bad it was gut-hooked and you couldn't CPR it. Well I guess you are planning to release it sometime soon...........into Lake Crisco!! Congratulations!
