And that means "Ling Cod" season! I went last year and brought home well over 20 pounds of filets! There is nothing like fresh ocean fish! After the first the hot ticket is to go on the "potluck charters". They go for rock fish in the morning, salmon in late morning and drift back for Halibut. I plan on being onboard for opening day! I have a few pics of one of my trips last year, out to the farlone islands, out of the Golden Gate in San Francisco! It is not for those with a weak stomach! On the trip out, waves would come over the bow of the boat and soak those standing aft of the cabin. You can see from one of the pics, some people dont look so good, lol!
