what is everyone favorite bait for cats, or anything for that matter?:0a21: :0a36:
Shad, shad, or shad. Big, small, or chunked..
Live gills for flathead, cut shad/carp/bluegill for blues and large channels, dip baits for smaller channels.
cut shad, skipjack or mooneye for channels and blues. Live chubs and shad for flatheads
When rod and reel fishing for eater sized blues and channels I like a punch bait like Danny Kings or Lewis Kings. When jug fishing I like cut perch. I don't fish for Yellow cats much but prefer live Perch or Crawfish if I can get them. The Crawfish work good on the river but don't work at all in the Lake that I fish.
Cut bait and chicken livers work for me for catfish. For the trout, I'll use Powerbait and Power Eggs. For some weird reason, rose bushes seem to attract deer:wink:.
live bluegills, cutbait, nightcrawlers, crawfish, minnow, chicken livers
Live bream, cut shad, night crawlers and chicken livers.
My number one choice is Skipjack heads. I also use shad, gills, and some stinkbaits, Depends on what the target is. H:big_smile: ope this helps.
warmouth bluegills and crappie for me!!!!!
Shad, chicken hearts, punch bait, bream and worms.
WE got Danny's Punch bait today---Going to try it Friday morning in the St. Johns river. Had 6 butter cats and 4 redbreast today, not a very good day for fishing but a great day on the water.
have a great day
When Im fishing the river in the early morning, I looooove freshly caught, live shad or cut skipjack. When Im fishin the river in the evening and night, I looooove live chubs or (cut) bluegill. And In ponds/lakes I usually use chicken livers.
I also like cut (white perch) drum in the evenings as well.
shiners are big in my area, so big fresh cut shiners work good here, even in the ponds. They have to be fresh though. Frozen shiners get pretty mushy when they thaw. Then my next favorite would be gut gills.
My favors are, livers, minnows, and nightclawers.
Live bream or creek chubs...
Shad , Eels , or shrimp. Preferably SHAD
Bluegill, fresh cut or live.
for channel cats worms, minnows, jigging leeches, sonnys blood. havent caught any flats or blues.
A big bream, cut shad, worms, ivory soap, or any thing else you got that is oily and stinks.
