I have never had any luck when rivers are on a sharp drop, fished deep, shallow, current, nothing! Anybody else have success when the river is droping?

Jack, on a sharp drop we never do any good either. Seems like it takes two or three days for it to stabalize before we go back to catching fish.

When your water level is dropping try fishing real tight to structure. Most of the time i catch my cats right in the logs during falling water times. As we say it's a fish or snag. That is the only way that your rig is coming out of the water.

My dad live on the river all his life, and he always told me that fish don't bite in falling water.
