How many of you guys fish for big cats after September into the winter?
I stop when the flatheads bite.
I fish the ocean after that.
Winter is the best time in the atlantic ocean.
i fish up until the bite slows soo much that i spend 5 or 6 hours fishing without a movement! sometimes the line even freezes in the eyes. lol rollo
It seems to me that the Flattys quit bitin' once the water temp dips below 50* which happens somewhere around mid November. Then again our current state record Flatty was caught in Dec. while jiggin for Walleye
I fish year round winter is pro. the best for blue cats they seem to stack up in winter:big_smile:
I start to set lines more frequently than normal. My uncles have been setting lines on the neosho for years and they will only do it when the garr stop running as hard, in the fall.

In the past I have always stopped in Mid-October or theres about. Even then I get the stares and you fish this late in the year blah blah....LoL

What ever I can. Fished for bait last night ,and didn't even catch a bluegill.:sad2:
i have no problem catching gills now, or probably for the next week or so. its october im worried about.
I am starting to think the same Romo. It's suppose to be warming up in the next few days maybe that will help....
Bait will be scarce when October hits. Trust me on this one!
