What do you guys do to catch cats when the weather cools for the fall. I could catch them like crazy when it was hot using big baits, now I have caught two in the past 5 weeks. Do you guys use big baits, small baits, bluegills, creek chubs, cut, live? A little help would be appreciated. Thanks

Live baits swallow water seems best right now.

I use the same baits all year. What I do try and figure out is where they,re gonna hang out for a while on their way to deep water.Try and find out where the deepest water is on each pool of the river you fish. They aint necessarily gonna be in that water this early, but it,s my opinion that they are gonna be gradually heading towards it. I wouldn,t sit and die on the same spots where I was hitting them midsummer. As the cool down progresses, follow them back to where you think they,re gonna winter up.

Look for places that hold bait fish, the blues will be eating for winter,, They will be close by...
I like a little current also, but depends on where you fish...
    Hope that helps
