I am going to work in Zapata for a week or so. I am taking my boat, does anyone have any information or advise on that lake. Any help is appreciated.
Oh, the whites were biting here yesterday. Great size. 16" to 17.5".

Some nice sized whites although a bit early. With this warmer weather we're having here in Central TX. the crappie should run early. A few years ago late in the season I got into some whites over 20" with the larger ones going over 25".

Those were huge. Seems like most of the time 14" is pretty good around here and when they spawn, I don't catch the bigger ones. We aren't catching lots, just good size. In the lake along the old creek channels. Kind of one every now and then instead of 2 at a time like a little later.

For the interested, I didn't catch a single cat on Falcon, although they say it is geat under the cormarant roasts; wherever they are. Caught a some bass, nothing big.
