Has anyone ever used those fake plastic frogs for bait? I realize a catfish probably wouldn't be interested, but what else might? I saw some in the store and thought about buying one to try.

If you fished it like a jig Im sure something would take it.
This is the time of the year to use real frogs. If you find any on the bank put them on a hook. They are one of my favorite baits.

I caught a lot of nice channels and little flatties (10lbs>) in creeks back in May on tadpoles too, specifically Lyons Creek. This area had a limited bait fish population, but a huge frog population. I'm fairly certain it was their primary source of food.

My buddy catches channels in a strip pit while fishing for bass on plastic frogs.
