I have spent hours trying to throw mine and have not figured out how to do it yet. Looks so easy on paper.

I throw the 5 ft Easy Throw net and it works quite well. Took me probably 10 hours of practice to really get the hang of it, but I seem to be able to handle it OK now.

I suppose if I put 10 hours into learning a "conventional" throw net, I could throw it just fine also.

But the ring on the easy throw net really does seem to simplify things.

I'll buy another easy throw when this one gets ripped up too bad.

The In-Fisherman 'Big Cat Safari' DVD has a nice section on throwing a cast net. After watching it several times, i have decided to just get a regular net to make a fool out of myself with :embarassed:

Seriously, watching that section may help.

I have one, just because they didn' have a conventional one and I had ruined my last one. I just throw it like a conventional one and don't have a problem.

Very easy to mess up. It takes a good amount of practice in the back yard before moving to public locations. Keep trying and discover YOUR technique. It is the only one that will work.
