I'm well aware that Eska motors should be made into anchors, but I inherited one from my dad. It is a 4.5 hp air cooled model 1974-B and is a 1976 (year).

It needs points and condensor, and I don't have a clue where to get them, what # they are, and what to set them at. It is 100% original including the spark plug.

Anyone out there have any advice?

I think i had one of those motors about 15 years ago i bought from an auction. The points setting mite be on the fly wheel. I think it mite be like 0.20 Try cleaning them and a new spark plug. If a boat place don't have the points, take them to a auto parts store and see if they can mach them up with something else. I hope this helps you!!!!!

If you have a Napa Auto Parts store near you they are great here for older outboard parts. The one here will order any thing they don't have in stock.

I ordered a manual "on-line" and will go to the Napa dealer this afternoon.

When (or if) I get this thing running I will report back.

Thanks to everyone for the help and advice.
