    just a random question....

    Why are emails
    always displayed
    like
    this, all broken
    up into small
    lines?
    It does
    not make sense, would
    it be
    the email programs?

When a message is forwarded some email programs add > to every line, but why are lines broken up randomly???

just my random question. thought someone would have an idea.

I can't tell you why it happens but when email is forwarded several times it happens... it becomes a mess. When I get a FW like that I usually trash it without reading. I have seen some posted here on BOC.

For several years I've used this little free program to clean (strip) Forwards. Very simple to use.

Fowarded e-mails are the only ones I ever get like that, and I don't even open fowarded emails anymore, just delete them. I believe you can get viruses from some of them also.

Thats a big negative on that, the only way to get a virus is to open a attachment with the email. If it is from someone you do not trust then dont open it. Ive opened many a suspicious email (at work) but I dont open the attachment no viruses yet.

Thanks for the download I'll try it.
I always get these e mails with a bunch of addresses on it and some of them I don't know how to get them off before I forward it

John, it's even simpler to remove addresses, after hitting forward, just high light the addresses... like when you copy, then hit space bar.

I always remove the addresses from FWs before sending. Also I send FWs as Bcc, to not show other peoples address.

I get some FWs that have more old addresses than text. :sad2:

    Dayton,
I always try to remove all the addresses before I foward the emails but some of them just don't seem to want to be removed.
I just think thats the polite way to send an email if there is such a term.
I do use the BCC to keep other addresses hidden.
Seems like the little simple things are the hardest to come by especially when your on your own.
Thanks and I will try what you said.

    Oops!
What happens is that when I press forward to send an email on there is no address there.
    Back to the drawing board!:smile2:
