I caught 5 cats this weekend and 4 of them had eggs inside. My question is ; how does this effect the fishing for me? Does this mean a good thing or not? I am new to catfishing and do not know if I need to do something different now. Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks.

Darrell, I assume that you cleaned all five of the cats that you caught. Unless they were of a large size 10 pound plus, it shouldn't effect your fishing at all. You will notice that the cats will start hitting better as it gets closer to spawn. Which is usually in June here in KY. You might want to start fishing where there are rocky ledges and riprap. The cats will soon start to look for a place to nest which is usually under rocks. I have also noticed over the past couple of weeks that the cats seem to be more active in the shallows than they were during the winter months. Vern
