    The best way to get and eel off your line is to take the eel and roll him in the sand and he will get stiff and then you can take the hook right out.:cool2::smile2::wink:

    Another good way is to lay them on ice. They become Katatonic and are easy to handle. Also make good bait for the blues and channels. whole if not too big or chunked.

    Thats why i roll them in the sand, so i can get the hook out to fish with them, and thanks for the info.:cool2::smile2:

    When I get an eel on the hook I want him to stay on there until a big old Blue decides to make him dinner.:wink:

    I have my daughter put them on the hook and take them off because I don't like them
