Does anybody fish for catfish in the Edisto River on land or boat? What kind of luck do you have?

I don't fish in there much, but have friends that fish there regularly. Flatheads have been growing in there for a while now. One of my buddies stopped to show me one that was 64 pounds a few years ago.....I'm sure they are in there alot bigger. That one was caught not too far up from Edisto, but another friend regularly catches them above Orangeburg

John did you ever try the Edisto? I crossed over the river today on US 17 near Jacksonboro, That part of the Edisto is tidal maybe a little brackish, I've caught a lot of big flatheads in there. I noticed today the water being really high, I think we are having flood tides right now. The tides for that area is about 4 hours later than what it is in the Charleston harbor.
