With the downturn in the economy, are you cutting back and how? I plan to fish just as much but not run all over the lake. I will fish an area longer and wear my trolling batteries down.

Been doing that for about 2 years. With the price gas was for so long. It hurt to put $75 in the boat and truck. And not get much out of it.

By slowing down and fishing small areas you will be surprised at what you will learn. Most of us fish to fast and cover more areas with little to no gain.

I agree with Micky. Here right now the fish seem to be bunched up in certain places and I need to cover the entire bank to find them. A month ago, stop on bluff ends and they were there but seem to have moved onto chunk rock banks. You may fish 1/4 mile without nothing except cold hands, then hit 4 or 5 in a 50 yard stretch. The quality is better than the quantity here right now.
