Easy Homemade Bite Detector

    I know a lot of catfishermen use the bait clicker but for those that like to use bells here is an easy way to make your own bite detector.

    I came up with the idea after the bells I was using would break (see first pic)

    All you need is a few small bells - you can get them at any craft store.
    Some small aligator clips
    Soldering Iron
    Solder

    Add a small lenght of wire to the clip then string your bells to the wire and twist together.

    After you have it mocked up use the soldering iron and solder to connect everything in place.

    I have found that the aligator clip when connect to the side of the tip eye it will not sling off or bounce off like the copper bells do.
