Eagle claw ''cat claw'' rods

    i have a chance to pick up a new 8' eagle claw cat claw rod for 15 bucks and i am checking to see if anyone has used these rods before...good-bad ??
    any comments welcome....thanks:wink:

    All I can say about these rods is, You get what you pay for!!! I sure wouldn't want to risk losing a fish of a lifetime because of faulty equipment.

    yeah,,i guess your right...plus putting a 50 buck reel on a 15 buck rod sounds kinda crazy anyhow...i have my A-G 6000 mounted on a 6.5' 1pc south bend rod now...its a heavy action rod and i know it is pretty stout...i think i payed about 50 bucks for it...

    Don't forget, you also run across some real steals. One of my favorite rods is an 8' St. Croix I bought on sale for $8. I've owned a couple of Eagle Claw rods, and really liked them.

    Have some friends that use Eagle Claw rods. They really like them. Not sure if it is the Cat Claw rods. Gonna pick up 1 and try for myself soon.
