Does anybody construct and drop brush piles for attracting catfish in lakes? I ussualy drop them for crappie winter fishing, and winter blue gill fishing, plus summertime bass spots. I'm guessing cats just stick to undercut banks and deep pools, but go to brush piles to feed on forage fish.

Yes, its a good way to build your own "honey hole". But you have to make sure that your state's laws allow that in public waters. Some don't.
