Try the drift socks made by Myrtis Easterlin - www.carolina-girl.com

For your boat, one 6 ft. diameter sock should be enough if you're drifting with the stern (or bow) into the wind; use two if you want to drift sideways.

I have seen alot of really good ones on different boats. I got to see the ones that Mr. T mentioned on my guided trip on Santee Cooper. They are very nice. I just dont wanna shell out that kind of dough for one. I am going to make my own 7' sock for my boat as well as two 5' socks. I have the plans written down so i can try and scan them in if anyone is interested.

I would like to take a look at your plans and I feel sure they are other people out there also. Anyway one might be able to say a $ or 2,times are hard.
