Drift fishing

    Im sure this has to have been covered but... I was wondering how to drift fish on the mississippi ill be out there late june early july in Davenport Iowa so if you folks could give me some drift teachniques and tips thatd be great

    A Slip Float Rig is a good way to drift fish.

    I just got word from a Illinois Catfish guide that he is not going to the area twixt Davenport and R.I. because there are so many commercial nets out that catfishing is very difficult in that area. Be careful drifting in that area if the nets are as many as he said, also I'm sure tons of catfish are no longer in that area because of the fishing pressure.
