I am looking for ways to improve my drift fishing techniques on the mighty O. When you guys drift fish the Ohio do you drag baits behind the boat or do you fish directly under the boat? Do you use Carolina rigs or three way rigs? Live bait or cut bait? Do you fish the bottom or for suspended fish or both? What speeds do you normally drift at?

Usually I drift under the both with carolina rigs because I am lazy...I like drifting with 3 way rigs the best, simply because they allow you to say closer to bottom and stucture without hanging up. Lately I have just been using carolina rigs so I dont have to retie new rigs if I want to anchor up instead. If I see fish that aren't suspending very much I will usually drag. I have dragged baits before with a different type of rig and done pretty well, especially when you can drag baits up and down ledges. Usually drift live and cut baits.
