I'm thinking about doing some drift fishing on the Verdigris above Oolagah Lake and possibly on the Deep Fork upstream of Eufaula,,,, what is the best set up for this as I've never fished for cats from a boat other than jug lining.

    Thanks

I just tie a bell sinker on the bottom of the line with a circle hook about a foot up. I only use 25 pound test so I can break it off if it gets hung up. The only river I have drift fished is below Eufalla damn, did preety good. I have been wondering if any of the rivers near OKC are any good. Good luck let me know if you do any good.

    Matt,
I dunno if any of the rivers near OKC have enough depth to float much in a boat as compared to eastern OK rivers. I'm definetly gonna try some drift fishing on Verdigris and proabably the Deep Fork this summer. Toss out some jugs and drift for a while before running the jugs.
