I'm from michigan originally and i have never heard of people catfish fishing there. I have seen steelhead, salmon, suckers, bass and walleye caught but im sure there are cats there as well.

I've lived in GR all my life and I don't know what the "water bridge" is. There's plenty of people who fish off the bridges downtown, and I know there's plenty of cats in the river, too. Use the same baits you would anywhere- live or cut suckers, chubs, shiners, bluegills, crawlers, etc.
    Good luck,
    Tony

    Marshall-
call your uncle and ask him where it is. Sheepshead are great flathead bait.
In the mean time, you have great fishing right where you are. Try the big bends upstream from the fairgrounds.
    Good luck!
