Since the dove opener is not too far away I thought I'd post this,I haven't had a chance to try it ,but if my aim is true ,I will this Sept. 3Tveg oil 4T fresh snipped basil,divided 1T lemon juice 1tcrushed red pepper flakes 1 clove garlic,minced 8 whole boneless,skinless dove breasts split in half 2Tbutter or margarine 1 med red pepper,seeded and cut into strips 1Csliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 C dry white wine 1/2C ready to serve chicken broth 1 1/2 Chalf and half 12 oz uncooked linguini 2T all purpose flour 1/2 Cshredded fresh parmesan cheese in a shallow dish combine oil, 2 T basil, lemon juice,red pepper flakes and garlic, Add dove breasts andstirr to coat,cover with plastic wrap and chill 1-2 hrs in a 12 inch skillet melt 2 T butter over med. heat.Addpepper strips and mushrooms. cook 2-3 min until peppers are tender crisp . revove veggies and set aside. add wine and broth to skillet. Bring to a boilover high heat. Boil 4-6 min or until liquid is reduced by half. Reduce heat to med. in a 2 cup measure combine the half and half,and flour. stir until smooth. Whisk misture into skillet,Bring to a boil,stirring constantly. Stir in prepared veggies. Set sauce aside and keep warm. Prepare linguini as directed on pkg. drain and discard marinade from dove breasts. spray rack in brioler pan with non stick spray arrange dove on rack. Place under broiler with surface of brests4-5 inches from heat. Broil 5-7 min. or until meat is no longer pink,turning once. arrange brest halves over linguini,stir remaining 2 T basil and parmesan cheese into sauce,spoon sauce over dove and linguini.
