dont need this much motor

    does anyone think i will have a problem trading a 60hp johnson for a smaller 25-40hp tiller handle outboard. The 60hp is not tillerhandle. buying a jon boat and don't need this much motor. thanks:roll_eyes:

    Brandon, it all depends on how far ya wanna go and how fast ya wanna get there, imo.

    try posting it on craigslist. there is always someone out there that wants what you have, you just need to find them. good luck.

    I agree, having too much motor is just a pure waste. There's never anywhere I have to get to at 80mph anyway, plus burning all that extra gas to do it.

    Last spring I decided to leave the warpdrives to the cast-n-blast metalflake bass boys and traded down to a more sensible motor for my boat.

    Craiglist is a pretty good option I think, and eBay too if you're brave.

    brandonleeraab i have a 18 hp on my 14 ft vbow and i go anywhere i want to and do on less gas i can go about 3 days on 6 gallon and do a lot of fishing :roll_eyes:
