Most of you guys have probably seen this but looks like a brave Asian carp stood up for his brothers on the IL river:smile2:

Sorry the girl in the pic is going to spend 6 weeks with her jaw wired shut, but the guy on the camera did a heck of a job getting the shot:eek:oooh:

Great ad for what I'm assuming is a bar in the background as well :smile2:

They actually have a tournament on that same river where the object was to drive around in your boat and catch as many carp as possible. No rods no Bows no cast nets. When does the shotgun season open on those damned things. I'm not that good with a bow but I can hit 48 out of 50 ritz crackers with my benelli

It's kinda cool how bad the whole idea is. I don't feel the need to wear a life jacket in still water but I think I would there. Moving water, people not paying attention to you and flying fish. Not the kinda thing you put on tv.

I asked a MDC agent that was checking my license a couple of weeks ago the same question. When are we going to have a asian carp skeet shooting contest? He laughed and said he didn't think that would be happening in the near future. But man it sounds like fun to me.

That would be a blast. I would like to go and do that. I have shot many carp with a bow but never after the asians. Looks like that girl should have worn a full face helmet:smile2:.
