Got some nice 8 to 10 inch yellow suckers today. Outstanding bait for blues and flats if you can get em.

Sounds like you got some good bait. I had a few suckers the other day in about the same range and got a small 3.5 flathead on one lol.

suckers are one of my favorite baits! they live a long time, and are very lively when you stick em with a big 10/0 hook!

Yes they're good, you can fish them live or cut them into two pieces and get two baits. Let the guts hang out and watch out!

And you may get a big surprise when a big muskie grabs your sucker.:cool2:

How do you guys catch your suckers? There are a bunch in this river I catch bait out of that look like big shad. I got a close look at them the other day and they are suckers. I usually catch them around the house with a castnet but was wondering if there is any other ways.

I ambush them in small creeks. Lota work somtimes but worth it. You can also use a 20 ft minnow seine in creek holes to get em to. Bigger ones for cut bait you can catch with rod and reel or use a bow fishen rig.
