I plan on going spearfishing (hand) for spawning carp in April and should have a bunch of nice fish I really don't want. Does anyone know of a market for these fish? I'm not looking for any $s (although that would be a nice bonus), but perhaps would any grocery store line or Asian fish/meat shop be interested. I'll be catching them in Madison.
I don't think carp that are speared or arrowed are a marketable product. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the holes in the fish. Our archery club has a carp shoot in May, and they have to dump them in a farm field. We're talking 3 to 4 tons of carp. Smells for quite a while....
