Me too!! Just enough to keep fuel in my boat and truck! Worked hard all my life though, before I got my new hip.

Work!... for a living, nope! Been fully retired for 19 years.
But I still work at what I like doing. Taking care of this hill and our farm. Walk 3 miles a day but that's not work.

Fish when I want to. :smile2:

I did my share of both before they REFUSED to let me work because of heart damage and something about 26% output. The fact that I worked 13 years with the damage and 33% out put unknown to the company did not go over well. The damage was "healed over SCAR tissue" that keeps my heart from flexing correctly.Oh yea.I was also given a 90 day life expectancy 5 years and 8 months ago. They said they "did not want me dying on the job".I asked,"Why not now"?You ain't cared for 37 years"?Heh,heh.

I was cut on 3 years ago this month for a "Brown Recluse Spider bite".The tissue sample report came back with a rare form of "T-Cell Lymphoma cancer" along with multiple other cell type cancers.Mayo Clinic confirmed the diagnoses."No known effective treatment,No known effective cure"."All treatment strictly palliative".Life expectancy 3 days,3 months to maximum 3 years where I am now at.I have visible cancers.I have many multiple very painful internal places that have come and gone to repeat itself again and again.I have passed blood at times at every orifice.

My strength and vision comes and goes.I am noticeably retarded at times with mind and body. Most is meds but at times it is physical.I am up and down with it all as it comes and goes.I have all kind of weird and unbelievable complications because of this.I eat what I want when I can even though a bad diabetic.I was able to get out 5 times in the last year.Sunlight breaks out my cancer on my skin and I take medication that reacts with with sunlight.I now sunburn with 20 minutes exposure. My biggest heartache and problem is that I have to be pottied like a child as I have little feeling or use below the waist. My hands and the rest of my body comes and goes but I am slowly loosing more each day.:embarassed:

I am in great physical shape and doing great in my and my doctors opinion considering what is wrong with me.On good days,I can stand for about a minute.I can make 50 feet if I have too on canes or a walker without sitting.I have accepted my status and am dealing with it.It is part of life.I am very fortunate. There are folks on the BOC in far worse shape in my belief. Some have loved ones in worse shape. Some have had to deal with horrible things.I do believe such things are worse for our loved ones to bear.We have many heroes on the BOC in my belief.

I am enjoying my life to the fullest and to the best of my ability.I have to dress like M.Jackson to go out,no joke!I have found much humor in my situation.I laugh at us all on the BOC at times.I have to use very little morphine as I consider this a VERY,Very last resort. This lack of use helps me function.

I tell folks that "you are evil".God is punishing you"."I am it"!I just don't have the common decency to lay down and die!Ain't life Great!

Also,I don't take any crap off of other cripples or healthy bullies! This is true. Some do use their situations to abuse others in many ways.I have seen it.I give them hell when I see it.It is rotten, wrong and not good for them or others!I help all folk when I can.I am ashamed when I can't.I tried to help a sister on here with a dying child once by contacting my local media. They have no more interest now than they did when I asked them to relay the call for help from the Johns Island Fire Department after Hurricane Hugo.I could not face the sister. In some ways I am a terrible coward, but I could not tell a good woman that my local medea showed no interest in helping a strange child live. They have had no problem helping with the ones they chose for their reasons.

Until I croak or get better,I won't be working or fishing much.I get out through each of you.Thank you for sharing your lives with me and others. Also please forgive me.It is very hard for me to respond or even thank folk at times when I try to read their post.

As for repping.I can not rep everyone.I know my limitations.I do not believe that I have the knowledge to judge such. Also,we all have different abilities The best of some of us may be far below that of the worst for some others.I just don't feel that I can do it equally or right.I enjoy those post of those who have condemned me and threatened to "stomp" me.I think the very best post are the ones the mods pull.To me the mods are the worst judges of interesting literature!I also think that they endanger lives when they pull your reply that is attempting to talk someone out of what you believe is suicide.

And yes I enjoy reading the remarks when someone reps me.I just ain't good enough,no matter how much I like something.I just can not trust my mind without going off my medication for 2 days.

I really do mean every word when I say.I love you Brothers and Sisters. For better and worse, you are my family.peewee
