This time of year I have a hard time catching anything in the sac or osage. does anybody else have this problem? I like fishing this area because there is alot less boat traffic. Mainly rod and reel I fish all the deeper holes but can't seam to catch anthing bigger than a couple pounds. Even jugs at night havn't produced.

Truman Lake cats for the most part aren't in the deep holes this time of year - they feed at or just above the thermocline, which will be around 20 ft or so.

During the day and into the evening, fish in water 12 to 20 ft deep, preferably on top of humps with deep water nearby and you'll catch fish. At night, fish the shallow flats - 3 to 8 ft or so.

Fresh cut shad is the bait of choice.

Ive been finding fish in deep water but only by suspending the bait around 20 feet also been using large hole shad.

I was up there Saturday and caught 8, fishing with cut shad in about 22' of water. Nothing big but steady. We threw back several and only kept the small ones.

It can be tough this time of year,
Heard their releasing water from Stockton Mo. on Friday nights,
If they keep it up, should put water around the mouth of sac at 10 am sat.
up around frist bend might be worth checking out.
