OK, this is supposedly a true story, I left out the answer at the end of the story, see if you can fiqure it out!

Fire authorities in California found a corpse in a burned out section of forest while assessing the damage done by the forest fire. The deceased male was dressed in a full wet suit, complete with scuba tanks on his back, flippers, and a face mask

A postmortem test revealed that the man died not from burns or smoke, but from massive internal injuries. dental records provided a positive identification. Investigaters then set about to determine how a fully clothed diver ended up in the middle of a forest fire.

So the question is how did he end up there?

Not in a water tank carried by helicopter, I guess a tornado while he was scuba diving.

The story is false. The myth busters said so! They did a show on it and tried several dif. ways that diver could have gotten there by suction, water bucket and some others but they came up with no way it was possible. snopes also says it is false.

He was diving and was picked up by a helicopter scooping up water from a lake and was dropped from heilcopter while the water was being dropped on the fire. Make since? Its my theory, at least that what I have heard. Funny, this subject came up the other day.

Like Phil says -- it is an urban legend -- not one iota of truth.

That's right up there with the one about the ducks getting frozen in the pond at night and flying off with the whole pond stuck to their feet the next day. Bullshirt!
