Thanks Mac, I assumed it was for minerals but wasn't sure which ones they needed. The battery showed clear signs of gnawing teeth so that one still puzzles me. I question that any animal has a craving for lead.

Ok so me and my oldest son were night fishing at shagrag Bridge a few yrs ago an we heard something running through the woods, a deer ran out so fast he hit the road i embankment straight on almost knocked it out but behind it was the sound of something chasing the deer in an upright position ( running on two feet) and it made the ground move it has to be big to make that happen freaked me out and I don't scare that easy but that made think...
