Ok all you dip baiters out there, I saw Mr. Jeff Williams on one of his videos catch some cats in 46 - 47 degree water on his secret 7. My question is, what water temp do they start consistantly biting on the dip bait? I fish with shad also, but kinda like the action with the dip bait while catching them eaters. Anyone?

I would say 58 degrees plus for consistence.

I have my best luck on it when the water temperature was in the low 60s and up. The Wammer the water - the better the scent of the dip/bait can travel though the water.
(at lease I think so :0a14:)

If your using dip bait in colder water a little trick I use is to take some pet milk and heat it hot.Put in thermos and add to small amounts of stink bait and stir in. It release is faster.
