Any body here use dip bait? What kind do you use and what time of day and what type of water would you recommend? Do you fish with it shallow or deep? Around cover or in open water?

i will use it every now and then used to use it a lot more than i do now. I use catfish charlie. i use it in the mouth of a creek but i have fished it close to bank in shallow water and in the middle in deep water.

Chris Welcome to the USCA. There are times that bait is hard to get, this is when I reach for dip baits. I carry several different baits. Catfish Charlie (Shad), Sonny's Blood, Wicked Sticky, and Secret 7. There are times when the fish will prefer one dip bait over another on the same lake. Depending on the time of the year it can be used in either shallow or deep. I hope this will help you.

i have only used on dip bait and it is SECRET 7. best dip bait hands down!!!!!!!!!!! i only use it in ponds but i cant even get 2 poles out before i get a bite!

I like catfish charlies blood and shad also secret 7 for the dip baits. The new sudden impact fiber bait is good stuff all you need is a treble hook to use this stuff sticks real nice.
