Had an errand in Zanesville, so towed boat over. Got shad in spillway, mostly 6-8" and got on lake by 11am. Water 67F in main basin. By 6 pm when I quit, water in places as high at 74F.

Drifted and/or trolled bait on bottom. Got 8 channels all in the 18-21" range with two of the 21" weighing, for that length a heavy, 3.5lbs. Seemed to be females full of eggs (huge bellies on them).

Most of fish caught were in 2 to 5 feet of water. Got one or two in 10-12ft. Nothing from deeper than 12 ft.

Lake up a little, maybe as much as a foot.

I used cut shad, didn't try to fish them live.
