I gathered up Darrell and a few minnows from his bait shop and went to Dillon today with visions of beating up on crappies first and than switching to channels. We did catch 10 real nice crappies(11 to 13 inches) along with six bluegills. We hit four different spots that I like.We caught fish at all of them, they just were not bunched up.Thats usual for this time of year.Shad were every where, made two throws and had way more than we needed.Made two drifts, picked up one with two misses-made another drift and kinda got in to em.Bites that is,my batting average was way off today. We did put five more in the boat in about 2 hours with probably 15-18 hits.Nothing big just regular fish. The water temp was 54.Good fishing and be safe.
