I talked to the ranger yesterday, He told me that the road to the spillway should be open within a week. He wants the contractor to put in a new guardrail and they will be done.

He was down there taking photos of the progress when I met him. Also said to call the army corps (Dillon) office for updates. But if everything goes on schedule, one more week.

Was at Dillon for a half hour today getting bait til they ran me out of there, cause they were gonna lock the gate. They put down a good layer of gravel down on the road that was'nt there the other day...

I was down at the spillway last night. All the big trucks were gone except for a watering truck (They are spreading grass seed and straw), and one backhoe thats leveling the last bit of ground that needs the grass seed.
The new guardrails were up, the roads are finished. And looked like most of the "police tape" lol was taken down.
So it is looking good for the job to be completed this week. Got my fingers crossed. Remains to be seen if it'll be opened up or they will wait till the grass starts growing. Gotta imagine some folks will want to trample it and ruin it for everyone.

LMAO @ Garry... Big Bait; Big Fish... Cost to transport such bait; Expensive. Catching a fish that actually tries to eat such bait: Priceless...:006:

I've been getting shad there for the last two months. You just gotta park on top of the dam and walk down the grassy knoll. Hard part is walking back up.
