Richard thanks for the pics. Looks like you got a lot of snow. You have been busy. Already dug out the steps and tracks of you driving the truck about. Was there any ice under the snow?

    Nice pics guys!:snowman:
We didn't get but 3" so far, but that's a lot for down here in Georgia. Weatherman says we could get more.
Here are a couple pics from earlier, one of my "snow gauge" when it was already over 2", one of the road leavin' my house, and one of my oldest son Austin comin' back up the hill after a sled ride.

Sorry, don't have any pictures folks. Maybe tomorrow.

It's snowin' about 3/4" an hour average, I guess, in Hickory, NC (edge of the foothills). 'Bout 3" on the ground so far.

Bee, i have been driving the wifes car for the last couple of days. she parked it with a full tank, and me, like the dummy i am, parked mine almost on empty. i knew by the time i ran it long enough to get defroster working on that ice, if i had a problem while driving, like sliding off the road, i would run out of gas to keep warm. well, they got our roads cleared pretty good and she went to work today.

i had to go to town, so i went and fired up old faithful. i put the defroster on high and started clearing snow off the windshield and hood. i tell you, there was an honest 6 inches of snow on that dude....may not look like it from the pic, but it's true. after getting the snow off, i slowly poured 5 gallons of water on the windshield to help the defroster melt the ice.....we are supposed to have above freezing weather for awhile, but rain is predicted for wednesday and thursday...if we get much rain, with the thawing also happenning the ground is already saturated...i 'spect to see a winter flood...man! those are very unpleasant. i am keeping my fingers crossed :)

by the way, should anyone need some firewood, just bring limb cutters and chainsaws..i'll fix you right up :)
