I'm sure all of you know how to tie a million different knots, including the Snell knot. This Utube video shows a way to tie a snell knot that is a little different than the common way I'm used to seeing. I have often avoided trying to learn a new knot because it looked complicated. This one is surprisingly simple. I think the video presentation of how to tie this one is excellent. I tried it and actually did it on the first try. They say it is strong (retains 100% of the breaking test of the line) and is very easy to tie. I agree that it is easy. I have not done any tests to verify it's strengh. My favorite knot has always been the Palomar, but now I have one I like just as well and will probably use just as often. My apologies if everyone has already seen this version.

If anyone has already tried this version and has an opinion, please share.

Very EASY. I snell ALL my hooks, and use the palomar for swivels, and tying the leader to the line. Here's a great snell tying pic.

I stumbled up on his website a couple of years ago, been using that snell ever since.

There's a good dropper loop there, too.
