Well I took my buddies John boat out to find out it took on about a gallon of water every ten minutes...Then my buddy caught a 8 lb. channel and I snagged a carp but the best part was me catching an ultra light spinning reel by the eye of the tip and thinking it was a fish...I've never caught a fishing pole before and I thought it was pretty cool!:smile2: Anyone ever catch any thing unexpecting like that?..

Never got a rod and reel, but I have snagged and come back with other folks lures. Hope you can still use the thing.

I've hauled in a lawnchair. It didn't put up much of a fight. Several tree
limbs were landed after patient application of force, pumping and reeling
in the slack over and over. Often this yeilded multiple lures with swivels
and beads and outrageous hooks most of which were practically new
out of the box. I got a rubber boot once. That was surreal.

Yeah I did catch that. Threw the rod back in. All the cork was gone off the pole and it "stunk"!! LOL

Trout fishing a year ago with a little spinner. Line tightened and the fight was on. Get her in to the bank and it was a half decomposed calf placenta from a cow. God did that stink, worse than a snapper. Wonder if that calf was down there someplace. Lost my appetite for trout at that hole.
