I voted for it sorry bro but realistically Ohio thinks they are another part of the Bible belt so it probably wont pass.

Just checked the news and it looks like its passing quite well (only 1% of the vote but its a pretty good margin)

Sorry man. I voted yes. At this point in the economy and seeing how things are here. I am ready to take a chance.!!! Not on everything, but looks as if Im out of work in a week or two, and I dunno what we are gonna do to get through this so early, till next spring! I don't agree with the whole bill, but....revenues for our state will be a plus.. And Im sure, will be good for my line of work sooner or later in construction.... rollo

OK the elections over and here are some of the results
Issue 1 - Vets compensation - I voted no for a couple of reasons but mainly the state is complaining that they dont have the money blah blah blah and I was paid when I was over there I dont need 1000 to compensate me. Now if they bump that to 10000 then maybe LOL.

Issue 2 - Agriculture thing - I voted no and I may have read it wrong I was thinking that no meant less Government control and yes meant more but didnt matter it passed quite well.

Issue 3 - Gambling - Hell yes I voted for that, just for the stupid commercials that were running saying how bad they are LOL what a crock. But I did want them also I think if it can bring more money into the state then why not. The commercials were saying how bad they are but if run right like the ones Ive seen in Indiana it should be clean.

Issue 1 - I voted no, mainly for the same reasons Gary did. I also think that any compensation should come from the fed level, not the state. On top of that, I think that when someone is off to fight for our country, they shouldn't be paying taxes, all their bills should be on hold, and by God they should be appreciated by everyone.

Issue 2 - Voted yes on it, cuz of the PETA thing.

Issue 3 - Voted yes. I've seen what the casinos in Indiana have done for their communities. And I also hated the stupid anti-casino commercials.

Jerry if they are in a war zone then they do not pay any state or federal taxes. I believe the only thing that is taken out is SS. When the Persian Gulf was considered a war zone that is how they did it back then.

Did I read it wrong on Issue 2?

    LOL on the commercials

    Yep Gary,

You read it wrong on Issue 2, but we covered your butt and passed it any way .... .... The reason for the bill was that the HSUS & PETA were going to try and get still rules for the livestock infustry like they did in Californication .... Of course just read a news release by HSUS and they say they will be back to get things changed.

Me and the wife both voted yesterday...like always.
On #1 we voted no because its their job. I would think different about it if they were drafted.
On #2 we voted no for several reasons. [1] the state cannot afford more programs. [2] we the voters have no say about who is appointed (buddies, family and favors:angry:), what they are paid. [3] how long is their terms. [4] I can not vote for any increase in state or federal government. [5] peta is not in office so they could not get anything passed that we would not have some say or vote on. Too late now.
On #3 we voted yes. Any help with creating jobs or helping with taxes I'm all for.

I thought that was funny also, are people killing themselves in Indiana around the Casinos? I voted for it cause they said there would be streetwalkers and I would think that would bring in big business for the medical to clean up all of the STD's:wink::smile2:
