I have a Humminbird Wide One Hundred portable that will turn on but will stay in demonstration mode. After a long conversation with the customer service rep at Humminbird it was determined that the main head was damaged.

Does anyone know anyone who will work on these things as Humminbird will NOT conduct repair work on any of their obsolete models. Thanks

Got the same problem and the same response from Humminbird.
Don't know anything about taking out a screw though.
If you figure out anything please let me know.

I dont know of anyone who works on them, and i have no suggestions on fixing it.

My thoughts are, how much does it cost to buy a new one (a similar one beings its "obsolete" as you put it)? With most electronics these days, its cheaper to buy new than repair, unless a new one costs a whole lot of money. Just my 2 cents.
