seemed like when the crab pots are set the catfishing dies off//:tounge_out:
do you think that the crabs have something to do with it?
i was thinking with the carbs feeding all the time the catfish may go to deeper water..

There sure are a ton of pots out there. I'm not so sure its a problem though. Some of my most productive areas are loaded with pots and still partin with some decent channels. Granted not in the numbers I am used to. With the river pushin up in the 80's the deeper cooler water is gonna look good to them in the daytime. Its time to start attackin them at nite. Then we can get em in those flats that the river is known for. They will come up there at nite for the cooler water. LET ME KNOW! LOL!

Hey phillycat whats up. It has been slower than usual in the Delaware. I agree with the high temps lately that may be a problem. Only have caught 2 in my few past outings. Hopefully it will pick up soon.

    Hi all:

New here. I launch in the Darby Creek at the Ridley Marina. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to find some cooler water down in this area. When I was out last Friday, I was marking water temps of 82-86 degrees. TOOOOOO hot.

    hi bob..
its the same temp the hole river..maybe if this cold front comes in and they get some rain in the upper schuylkill it will drop the temps of the water at the mouth of the schuylkill at the Delaware river..
is that restaurant still open along the Darby creek?(pondarosa)

When I lived in Delaware I mostly fished south of New Castle & The Bay. Now that I'm back in PA. I sometimes fish behind PHL airport. I've also been testing the banks of the Skuke.:0a23:

I Caught (1) 21", (1) 20", and (1) 16.75" this morning at 9:30AM in the Deleware at Easton, right at the boat launch by the free bridge. I was using chicken livers and brought the 3 fish in within 15 minutes of each other. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good!
