Today was going to be jerky day at my place. We defrosted 20 lbs of deer.got all of the seasonings I need, then went to get the meat grinder. As you may know we have just moved. We cant find the meat grinder!!Heck we have two of them.I dont want to buy anouther one you really dont need three .So what Im thinking now is useing a blender,or food processor. will that work? I used to just slice the meat real thin and call that good.but those days are gone.Any help would help. Thankx Joe

smokey, if you have a food processor, you can chop it very fine with one.

However, I suggest just slicing it for now about 1/4 of an inch thick, then after it has dried, you can run it through the food processor and make "jerky chew" Very easy to eat and very good.

If you do slice it, just make sure you cut across the grain.
