Here in northern Illinois things are finally starting to warm up.Gonna be about 60 tomorrow so I'll be heading out for the first time this year.I'll be fishing at a small lake, max depth of 25ft in one area and the rest is mostly 5-15ft.I'm wondering with the cold water, and the warm air should I still drop the bait near the deep area or should I try some of the more shallow spots where the warmer water will be?

hi chris, if it was me wish it was.i would try to find any water flowing in to the lake first.that would the place to find the most active fish, try shallow & deep in that area. the northeast parts of a lake warms first. hope this helps, good luck!:big_smile::big_smile:
