Salmonid and i met up today to take advantage of the 50 degree weather and do some channel fishing on the GMR here in Ohio. think we managed around 8-10 or so. all were on cut shad fishing in deeper areas (10-15ft ). water was 36 degrees which had them biting really light, had to really show restraint while using them circle hooks! here are a few pics....

Great catch. LOL. My buddy and I got all fired up Sunday and headed out to do some park pond fishing in Kettering.....Uh it's December and it's been down in the single digits a couple nights. His idea was to use some rocks to break the ice and after going to the third pond....we ended up scouting spots on still open streams to catch bait next year. Congrats! We had the right idea just didn't make it over to the river. Where approx on the GMR do you fish? I am in Dayton and have rarely fished the GMR.

Nice fish there - I have been trying to get at least one catfish lately. They just aren't biting here. The forecast for this week is gonna be all in the 60s - wow! Nearing Christmas and we get all of this warm weather...maybe the cats will bite more in the next few days
